Hamilton Bridge thrown open for Traffic movement in Rajouri
Rs 3.99 crore expended on bridge under languishing Funding scheme

Rajouri, October 21: In a big relief to the commuters, the Hamilton Bridge, completed under languishing funding scheme, was thrown open today for public traffic.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Yougal Manhas, Executive Engineer PWD Mohd Zubair, AEE of the concerned department and ward councillor were present on the occasion.
Pertinently, Hamilton Bridge is a major bridge in the Rajouri town as it facilitates locals with reliable connectivity to other nearby and major destinations. This bridge, which, connects main Rajouri town with the other areas like Manjakote and acts as an alternate route has been completed with a cost of Rs. 3.99 crore under languishing projects scheme.
While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated the PWD authorities for completion of the bridge in a short span of time. This bridge is crucial in terms of connectivity as it connects old bus stand with rest of the areas, he added.
