Police Commemoration Day observed at Ramban

RAMBAN, OCTOBER 21: National Police Commemoration Day was observed today at Shaheed Samarak, District Police Lines of Ramban with Senior Superintendent of Police, Anita Sharma, ASP, Sanjay Parihar along with the officers and personnel of J&K Police, J&K IRP, SSB and CRPF paying floral tributes to the martyrs.
Every year, October 21 is observed as National Police Commemoration Day in memory of all police personnel, who were martyred by the Chinese in 1959.
Large number of officers and officials of J&K Police, SSB, CRP and IRP were present on the occasion.
Earlier, SSP read out the names of all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during past one year. She presented gifts to about 48 Next Of Kins (NOKs) of JKP martyrs of Ramban district.
Later, officers interacted with the family members of local martyrs and listened to their grievances and assured them of early redressal.
The family members of martyrs and others present on the occasion also offered floral tributes to the martyrs.
