Amit Shah pays tributes to martyrs on Police Commemoration day at National Police Memorial

New Delhi, Oct 21: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday paid rich tributes to the police martyrs at the National Police Memorial here.

Lauding the roles of the police forces, Mr Shah said that the government has planned several measures for the welfare of the police personnel.

'When we see police work in a normal way, it looks usual but when we change the perspective we understand that the development strides our country is taking is due to the dedicate and silent service of these policemen,"Mr Shah added.

'Be it protecting the country or maintaining a peaceful atmosphere, our policemen have always played an important role, and they are ready to serve the country even in the most difficult circumstances,' the Home Minister said.

'I bow to the indomitable courage and patriotism the of the police personnel,' Mr Shah said, adding that the kind of valor and courage with which our policemen serve the country inspires everyone.

He also expressed his gratitude to the kin of the police personnel on behalf of the entire nation.
