BDC Elections: DEPO Kulgam chairs meeting of Nodal officers ROs, AROs

KULGAM, OCTOBER, 18: District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today convened a meeting of nodal officers, RO’s AROs, BDO’s and other officers designated for holding of Block Developments council elections in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Shabir Hussain Bhat, ACR, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, and other officers.
During the meeting nodal officers, BDO’s and other officers briefed the DEPO about the arrangements which have been put in place across the district for smooth conduct of BDC elections in the district.
DEPO impressed upon the officers to strictly adhere to the rules and guidelines of the election authority and ensure model code of conduct across the district. He also directed the officers to ensure fool proof arrangements in their respective jurisdiction and maintain close coordination for greater success of the election process.
It was given out in the meeting that BDC election will be held in 07 Blocks of the district. Pertinent to mention that 18 candidates are in fray for BDC polls in the district.
