Navin Choudhary for effective steps to check illegal mining

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 18: Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce, Navin K. Choudhary, today stressed on taking effective steps to detect and prevent illegal mining of minor minerals in Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking note of media reports that some unscrupulous elements are resorting to illegal mining, Navin Choudhary asked Director Geology and Mining, J&K, to submit a factual report in this regard within 10 days.
He also directed all Deputy Commissioners to look into these allegations and have a comprehensive survey done in their respective jurisdictions to detect if any illegal mining of minor minerals is taking place.
