Block level officers imparted training in Rajouri

Rajouri, October 17: One day training cum refresher course for Block Level officials of the line departments for preparation of the Gram Panchayat Development Programme- Sabki Yojana Sabka Vikas was held here today.
District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, inaugurated the training also aimed to acquaint the field functionaries about the conduct of baseline survey of households and monitor the progress periodically for Mission Antyodaya.
The training programme was organised by Rural Development Department and imparted by District Panchayt Officer Dr Abdul Khabir and Block Development Officer, Nowshera, Chandrakant Bhagat.
The training programme was specifically organised for Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) and Mission Antyodaya Survey (MAS).
The block level officers were imparted detailed training about the various aspects of the GPDP which included detailed information and training on web portals like Mission Antyodaya and GPDP portal.
In his inaugural address, the DDC enjoined upon the trainees to optimally utilize the knowledge gained in this programme for effective development of rural areas. He also briefed the trainees that Gram panchayats have been mandated for the preparation of Gram panchayat Development Plan for economic development of the Panchayats. He said GPDP planning process has to be comprehensive and involve all the line departments. He said 21 subjects have been delegated to Panchayats.
The DDC said that Mission Antyodaya is a convergence and accountability framework aiming to bring optimum use and management of resources allocated under various programmes for development of rural areas. He asked the Block level Officers to be in constant touch with PRI members and other people at the grassroots and work with added zeal and commitment to know the actual developmental needs of the people on the ground,so that the Sabki Yojana Sabka Vikas could be achieved.
