Forest Dept Jammu holds series of plantation drives

JAMMU, JULY 16: The Forest Department continued its plantation in various districts of Jammu region by collaborating with the various agencies and locals. Billawar Forest Division took up plantation in Panchayat Badola and the concerned Sarpanch, Panchs, Elders, women folk and children participated along with the staff of the forest division in planting local species.
Batote Forest Division conducted the plantation in Khellani of Marmat Forest Range and the occasion was graced by Dy. CO SSB Khellani, local citizens and children. Ramban Forest Division also took up plantation at Public Park Rajgarh of Ramban Range, PWD hut at Neeltop of Banihal Range and other compartments with the participation of Sarpanches, Panches and other local people.
Eco Task Force organized plantation in Jandrota, and Atal Setu Basohli. The 129 TA Battalion of ECO Task Force was also fully engaged in the plantation activity.
