Budha Amarnath Yatra: DDC visits Nowshera to take stock of arrangements

RAJOURI, JULY 15: In order to ensure convenient and comfortable halt of pilgrims at Nowshera during Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra-2019, District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today visited the site to take first hand appraisal of utilities at the Yatra ground.
The DDC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera, Sukh Dev Singh Samyal Executive Engineer PWD Nowshera, Pervaiz Ahmed, Block Development Officer Nowhera, Sheetal Sharma and members of Yatra Organising Committee.
During his visit to yatra ground located near TCP bridge Nowshera, the DDC assured that he will take up the parking issue due to fencing of ground by army authorities with the concerned authorities for redressal.
Later, DDC visited another proposed yatra ground at GHHS Lamberi.
The yatra committee informed that there is a huge space for parking as well as stay of yatris besides proper entry and exit points on the ground. It was decided that ground at GHSS Lamberi shall be treated as a backup option and the priority shall be given to Yatra ground Near TCP bridge Nowshera.
