DC Poonch holds public grievances redressal camp at Shahpur

POONCH, JULY 15: District Development Commissioner Poonch Rahul Yadav today convened a public grievances redressal camp in border village of Shahpur to get firsthand appraisal of public issues pertaining to development and public service delivery.
People from Miran Sahib, Shahpur and other adjoining areas projected multitude of development issues and requested for time bound redressal. They projected several issues and demands like up-gradation of schools, foot bridges across rivulets for safe passage of students, resolving issues related to LoC fencing alignment besides macadamisation of main, link roads, J & K Bank branch and ATM near the Shrine, construction of road to Higher Secondary School Islamabad to Shahpur and a footbridge for connecting upper and lower Shahpur, shortage of staff in educational and health institutions, more bunkers in the Border villages.
The district officers apprised the public of latest status of work on developmental projects in the area and responded to the issues raised by public.
The DDC directed the departments for expediting the pace of development works in the area so that projects are completed within the given time frame. He assured that grievances raised in the public meeting will be addressed in a time bound manner.
