JAMMU: A Jawan of CRPF on Sunday allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Civil Secretariat here.
Police sources here said that the jawan, who was identified as constable P Ram Kumar, 33, son of R Plano Swami, a resident of village Kasim Vyal, Nilgris, Tamil Nadu on Sunday allegedly shot himself with his service rifle INSAS.
The dead body was shifted to the mortuary while a case had been registered and investigation started, the police added.
