Lal Draman Festival to witness variety cultural shows, other festivities

DODA, JULY 11: The Lal Draman Festival, being organized by the District Administration Doda, will witness series of variety cultural shows and other festivities to attract maximum visitors.
District Development Commissioner Dr Sagar D Doifode today finalized the arrangements for cultural and other activities for the day long festival scheduled to be held on July 27, 2019, here at a meeting.
The meeting held detailed discussion and finalised the variety of programs which could be a huge crowd puller.
The DDC informed the meeting that activities to be performed on the scheduled venue shall be more engaging, beautifully designed and youth oriented.
It was decided in the meeting that the day long program shall be divided into three sessions, during which various cultural, sports and other fun game activities will be held for the visitors.
Sports department was directed to conduct the activities which are more popular in the area like volleyball match, Kabaddi, tug of war, wrestling and horse racing.
Further Principal GDC Doda and CEO Doda were asked to lay more focus on involvement of students, including NCC and NSS volunteers in the event more as facilitator which will be a learning activity for them, rather than just being there as audience.
Besides, Committees for arrangement of sound system, transportation of students and other event related goods, area notification for conduct of different activities were also finalised.
The meeting was attended by CEO Doda, Principal GDC Doda, DPO Doda, BDO Bhaderwah, Kahara, Marmat, Bhagwah, AD Employment, Cultural officer Doda, District Sports officer Doda, HOD DIET Doda, Director Green Model Hr Sec School Doda, besides other officials of schools and administration were also present.
