Mandi delegation calls on Advisor Ganai

SRINAGAR, JUNE 12 – A delegation from Mandi, Poonch district, today called on the Advisor to the Governor, Mr. Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, here and presented their charter of demands for the overall development of their region.
During the meeting, the delegation, led by Moulvi Farid, highlighted the lack of facilities in their area and sought intervention of the Advisor to ameliorate their sufferings. They demanded immediate operationalization of the newly-set up Government Degree College at Mandi which shall enable the youth of the area to pursue higher studies. They also raised the issue of opening of a bank branch at Galgian (Sawjian) and creation of a separate PHE sub division at Mandi.
The other demands raised by the delegation include additional branch of J&K Bank at Mandi (near Temple), construction of motorable bridge at Sathra and immediate posting of doctors in CHC Mandi.
The Advisor assured the delegation that the demands raised by the delegation would be got looked into for appropriate action.
