DDC takes stock of traffic congestion in Doda town

DODA, MAY 21: District Development Commissioner Dr Sagar D Doifode today reviewed the growing traffic congestion problem in Doda township and inspected General Bus stand.
The DDC was apprised about various issues regarding traffic congestion and the problems being faced by the shopkeepers and general public on daily basis. It was said that the illegal parking of commercial vehicles, stagnant reheries, stray cattle, improper management of solid waste, drainage system and toilet add to the traffic snarl and jams.
The DDC directed police and civic authorities to remove the illegal reheries with immediate effect and designate a specific place for parking of private vehicles in proper manner, and removal vendors from footpaths for smooth movement of pedestrians.
Other concerned officials who accompanied the DDC during the visit were ASP Doda, CEO MC Doda, President MC Doda besides Vice President and ward members of MC Doda and SHO Doda.
