DC Reasi reviews functioning of education sector

REASI, MAY 20: Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib, today convened an officers meeting to review the education sector in the district.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Ramesh Chander, Chief Education Officer, ZEOs, Headmasters and Principals of all government institutes of the district were present in the meeting.
The DC had a detailed review of functioning of all educational institutes of the district. She asked the officers to ensure that the biometric attendance is strictly adhered to by all the employees.
Referring to absenteeism among some teachers, the DC said that a 3-level monitoring mechanism would be put in place to keep a check on teachers’ attendance. She asked the Chief Education Office to ensure regular inspections of schools in all the six zones of the district.
The DC also asked for conduct of regular parents-teachers meetings for larger benefit of students.
