Body of missing teacher recovered after a week in north Kashmir

Srinagar, May 20: Body of a teacher, missing since May 13, was recovered from a water body in north Kashmir district of Bandipora on Monday, official sources said.

According to official sources, Mushtaq Ahmad Lone who was posted as teacher at Government High Secondary School (HSS), Chuntimulla, went missing from May 13 after attending his duty. However, the relatives and neighbour of Lone, resident of Sheikhpora Mantrigram Bandipora, protested and demanded his immediate recovery.

However, on Monday, panic gripped in Laharwalpora, Bandipora, when a body was found in Wular Lake.

Police later took away the body and the deceased was identified as missing teacher Lone.
Police has already registered a case and started investigation, they said adding the cause of his death was being ascertained.
