IG BSF Ram Avtar reiterates pledge to uphold peace, tranquility on borders

JAMMU: Inspector General, Border Security Force (BSF), Jammu Frontier, Ram Awtar today reiterated commitment of the Force to uphold peace and tranquility on the borders and extend all help and cooperation to the border population for their well-being.
The IG BSF was addressing officers, subordinate officers and jawans at Force Headquarters, Paloura Camp in Jammu on 38th Raising Day of BSF.
The Frontier was raised on 1st January, 1981 after bi-furcating the erstwhile North Western Frontier under the command of WGJ Mudaliar, IG Jammu.
On this occasion, IG, Jammu Frontier, Ram Awtar conveyed his best wishes to all the “Seema Praharis” serving in the Jammu Frontier.
“Inspite of heavy operational commitment throughout the year on International Borders with Pakistan, Jammu Frontier, BSF has achieved highest standard in various fields in the force in the pursuance of excellence,” he said.
The IG also remembered all the Praharis, who made supreme sacrifice of their lives while defending the borders in Jammu Frontier and also congratulated all the personnel of the Frontier, who have brought laurels to the Force.
