Leading business houses, DIC extend help to stranded labourers, people under quarantine

JAMMU, APRIL 6: The leading business houses, in an endeavor to extend help to the labourers stranded due to lockdown and those being quarantined for COVID-19 pandemic in Jammu, have provided sanitizers, hand gloves and surgical masks to the concerned for further distribution.
About 60,000 labourers, stranded in Jammu district besides people under observation at various Quarantine Centres, have been benefitted with this humane geture of the industrialists of Jammu district.
The leading industrial units which have taken up this initiative included M/s Medley Pharmaceutical, M/s Accent Pharma, M/s Saraswati Agro Chemicals, M/s Modern Papers, M/s Saraswati Plastotech, M/s Prevest DenPro and M/s Naturis Cosmetics.
The items have been handed over to the District Administration, Jammu for further distribution at various quarantine Centres located in Jammu District including Red Rose hotel, Garden Hotel, Teacher Bhawan, SKUAST Guest House, Horticulture Guest house, ASCOMS Batra, Yatri Bhawan, Bhagwati Nagar and IIT Guest House Pahari Hostel.
In addition, the Officers and Officials of DIC Jammu have also distributed masks, hand gloves and sanitizers among the Police Personnel at various Chowks and Chowkies including Vikram Chowk, Gandhi Nagar, Satwari, Jewel, Belicharana and other areas. Besides, the material has also been handed over to SDM, South and Tehsildar North and South.
These activities are being monitored and carried out by Director Industries & Commerce, Jammu and General Manager, DIC Jammu under the supervision of Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi.
