COVID-19: DC Kulgam directs for axing female Russian Poplar trees within 6 days

KULGAM, APRIL 06: Deputy Commissioner, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, has ordered the axing of Russian species female poplar trees in the district within six days.
The people have been urged to come forward for axing of this tree species, standing in their land, as it is health hazard, because of its pollen, which creates influenza like infections.
Moreover, Tehsildars were directed to take steps in consultation with Police, Forest and Social Forestry Department to implement the order in letter and spirit.
