JAMMU, April 4: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member, Raman Suri, today said that the party leadership is sensitive to public issues, wants young boys and girls to be empowered and won't let them down in any situation, especially in the newly formed UT of J&K. This is the reason Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued a fresh domicile order with regard to Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services and Recruitments Act, thereby reserving all vacancies in the government departments, both gazetted and non-gazetted for domiciles of the Union Territory of J&K.
Raman Suri said, considering the sentiments of youth, particularly the unemployed educated class, Union Government timely reserved all gazetted and non-gazetted posts for the local people of J&K. With this, now only domicile of J&K UT will be eligible to apply for any vacant and advertised government job in Jammu and Kashmir. This wasnot a demand, but need of the youth of J&K, thus government acted accordinglyfor the betterment of youth.
Raman Suri said that all domicile certificate holders, including those who are living in the UT of J&K for 15 years and children of Central Government employees serving in J&K for a period of 10 years, will all be eligible for gazetted as well as non-gazetted posts advertised by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir UT.
He said that the youth are backbone of this nation and considering their need, the Union Government immediately brought out Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services and Recruitments Act bringing all the jobs under one single category, making youth of J&K eligible to apply for them whenever advertised. This, he said is just the beginning and many more such policies and programmes, aimed at empowering youth, are in the offing.
The UT, he added has to be self-sufficient in days to come for which every effort is being made to empower youth. Asking people to follow government advisories in these sensitive times, Raman suri said that priority at the moment is to save lives and flatten the curve of COVID-19 affected people, so that UT of J&K, and India as a whole, can be safe. He urged people to stay indoors and maintain social distancing at all costs.
Coming back to recruitment decision, he said, now that fresh rules to this effect have been issued by none other than MHA, the youth must calm down and start preparing for their exams. He assured them that the BJP Government at the Centre would never go against their interests. All that the young boys and girls need to do is, not be misled by opposition and talk to the government directly.

He also appreciated BJP J&K Unit President Ravinder Raina for taking up the issue with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and getting the order in favour of the youth of J&K UT. The role of Sh. Ashok Koul General Secretary (Org.) J&K, BJP National Vice President Sh. Avinash Rai Khanna, BJP National General Secretary Sh. Ram Madhav, in settling issues with regard to the domicile notification, especially with regard to reserving jobs for locals, is also appreciable, Raman Suri asserted.
