District administration Samba provides door to door ration to migrant families

SAMBA, MARCH 31: In view of nationwide lockdown due to corona virus, Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria, along with Senior Superintendent of Police Shakti Pathak, today distributed the essential commodities including ration packages among the families of migrants, hawkers, daily wagers and other affected families.
The DC, SSP and other officers visited various areas including Samba town, panchayat Sangwali, Nonath and Harsath in block Ghagwal and distributed packets of ration among the migrant families, including labourers working in industries from outside state, stationed at samba.
The DC advised the public to follow all the advisories and remain in their houses during the lockdown period and also asked them to avoid gathering as section 144 of CrPC is in vogue.
The DC said that district administration officers, Sub Divisional Magistrates have been stationed at their respective headquarters in Vijaypur and Ghagwal to provide necessary assistance to all the affected families. He said the district administration is maintaining a close liaison with all the public representatives and is ensuring that ration, water, electricity, and other essential commodities are provided to the affected families including migrants at their door step.
He exhorted upon all the line departments to provide assistance to the families during the lockdown period.
