DDC Bandipora takes stock of facilities at Quarantine Centres

BANDIPORA, MARCH 29: Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, reviewed the facilities being provided by the district administration at quarantine centre established in the district for the citizens arriving from abroad or corona virus affected areas to prevent the spread of the virus, here today.
On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Nodal Officer COVID-19, Mehraj Wani today visited several quarantine centres to inspect the facilities being provided to the inmates.
It was given out that there are about 160 persons under administrative quarantine in 20 quarantine centres of the district and facilities are being provided to the inmates according to the prescribed guidelines and extra care is being taken to ensure that inmates do not face any problem during their stay period.
At One Stop Centre Nishat Park, seven female medical students who voluntarily revealed their travel history to the administration and went into administrative quarantine appreciated the administration for providing facilities at the centre and also thanked the field staff of Health department and Municipal Committee, Bandipora for lending support to ensure their safe and hassle free stay at the centre.
“I revealed the travel history and voluntarily came for quarantine for the safety of my family and for the community in general and appeal the people having travel history to go into quarantine to save lives,” said a medical student from Nowpora, who recently returned from Bangladesh.
“Meanwhile, DC Bandipora asked the people to reveal their travel history voluntarily. He said the administration has started an online portal wherein people can reveal travel history and administration will assist such people in best possible way to protect the community from the virus. He said free pick and drop facility for such people is also being made available by the district administration.
