DM Anantnag inspects NH, other areas

ANANTNAG, MARCH 29 In an effort to enforce and maintain complete lockdown across the district, District Magistrate Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Dar, today took a tour of national highway visiting its entire stretch besides Pujteng, Bijbehara, Wanpoh, Mir Bazar and Vessu areas.
He also took stock of availability and distribution of essentials and also of quarantine facilities set up at different health institutions amid the threat of covid-19 outbreak.
ADC, Gh. Hassan Sheikh, Nodal Officer COVID – 19 for Anantnag, Showkat Ahmad Rather, among others, accompanied him.
The DM during his inspection of the hospitals stressed on maintaining discipline and complete readiness to effectively combat the covid-19 outbreak. He said every medical professional must rise to the occasion and deliver his duties for the betterment of the people during these testing times.
Later, he visited Seer Hamdan to oversee the distribution of essentials among the poor by administration and NGOs.
