District Administration Kupwara distributes 26200 qtl Rice during lockdown

KUPWARA, MARCH 29: District Administration, Kupwara has adopted multipronged mechanism to successfully ensure lockdown in the district. While strictly imposing section 144 Crpc across the district it initiated home delivery of essentials.
During the last one week Administration distributed 26,200 quintal rice among the consumers at their door steps besides ,mid-day-meal-ration to 48270 students. Likewise, LPG cylinders and Medicine were provided to 13,350 and 1750 households respectively during this period.
An awareness campaign was launched in coordination with DIPR Kupwara unit to convince people to remain in-doors and avoid any kind of gathering during lockdown period in the district.
According to daily media bulletin issued by district administration, 2169 persons have been enlisted for observation while 1913 persons, having out-state or abroad travel history have been kept under home quarantine. Besides, 90 persons have been kept under administrative quarantine and 6 persons have been kept under hospital quarantine. The bulletin futher reads that all 5 blood samples taken for test are negative.
